Cookie Policy for schwarzman.dev
Last updated: 23 October 2026
This policy says which cookies the site uses, what the notice at the bottom of the screen does and how to refuse what you do not want. It belongs with our Privacy Policy, which explains everything else we do with personal data.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a short record that a site asks your browser to keep and that the browser sends back with later requests. A cookie can be set by the site you are reading, or by a service whose code the page loads.
The notice, and the one cookie we set ourselves
When you open the site, a small card appears in the corner telling you that the site uses cookies and linking to this page. It has one button. The card informs you: it is not a consent switch and it turns nothing on or off, because nothing on this site waits for it.
When you press the button, one cookie is stored:
- Name: cookie-policy
- Set by: schwarzman.dev
- Value: true, which means only that the notice has been shown and acknowledged. It holds no identifier and nothing about you.
- Lifetime: 30 days, after which the notice appears again.
- Purpose: so the notice does not come back on every page you open.
If you do not press the button, this cookie is not stored and the notice appears again on your next visit.
Cookies of the services the page loads
Google Tag Manager. The page loads Google Tag Manager, container GTM-NSDCP79S, on the live site only. Tag Manager is the tool through which measurement services can be connected. It can itself set technical cookies, and any service connected through it sets its own cookies and receives data about your visit, such as the pages you opened, the approximate location derived from your IP address and the browser you use. Which services are connected changes over time, and such a change does not call for a new version of this policy. On the date at the top of this page no measurement service is connected: the container is empty.
Google Fonts. The site loads the Montserrat typeface from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. This sets no cookies, but the request tells Google your IP address, your browser and the page that asked for the font.
Videos and images are served from our own server and set no cookies. The social network icons in the footer are ordinary links: nothing is loaded from those networks unless you click one.
What we do not use
We set no advertising cookies and we run no social network or advertising tracking pixels. We do not sell or share a list of visitors with anyone.
How to refuse or remove cookies
- Your browser can block cookies, delete the ones already stored, or warn you each time one arrives. Look for cookies or site data in its settings. Blocking the cookie-policy cookie only means the notice will appear again every time.
- A content blocking extension prevents Google Tag Manager, and anything connected through it, from loading at all.
- Browsers also have a setting that blocks third party cookies, which stops services like the ones above from recognising you across different sites.
- The site works without cookies, and so do the request forms.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when the set of connected services changes in a way that affects what is stored on your device, or what is sent from it. The date at the top shows the last change.
